CBD Health Reports – About Us

Here at CBD Health Reports, we want to make sure that people everywhere have access to addiction treatment. This isn’t as simple as breaking an arm and going to the emergency room to get a cast. Addiction is a very personal problem that will require personable attention, so we want to be able to set you up with a program that will actually work for you. Here are the answers to some questions you might have about this process.

How to Stage an Intervention

Seeking help isn’t always easy, which is why a lot of people struggling with addiction often have trouble taking the first few steps toward treatment. This is why some people stage interventions in order to help their loved ones. We’ve all seen interventions on TV: dramatic speeches, plenty of crying, finger-pointing, a fight or two, the threat of the cops outside, and all that buzz. While that makes for good television, it may not make for a good real intervention. A big, tearful event might actually turn the person away from seeking treatment. The last thing you want to do is push someone further into denial. We recommend taking a different approach if possible.

Be sure to talk to them when they’re sober. It’s natural to want to unload on someone you care about if they’ve been drinking too much when they’re drunk, but it may not be productive. Talking to them when they aren’t intoxicated can be far more effective. They’re more likely to be receptive, and they’re certainly more likely to pay attention and remember. Ultimately, it will be less frustrating for both of you.

Explain to the person how their drinking has negatively impacted their relationships and their life. Use specific examples whenever possible. That’s not to say that you need to have to print a list, but you will want to speak as clearly as possible. Part of that includes not assigning blame. This can be difficult, but you want to emphasize your feelings, and the feelings of others, as well as the concerns that come from their drinking. Again, blaming the other person could cause them to recoil and retreat from you, which is the last thing you want.

Types of Rehabilitation Treatment

Rehabilitation takes different forms depending on each patient’s specific needs. Each person is different, so while residential treatment might work for some, it may not be the best option for others. On one hand, you have inpatient drug rehab, which is a residential program where the patient stays at a treatment facility for a specific period of time, counting on the treating staff 24/7. On the other, you have outpatient treatment, where patients will be able to continue their lives as normal while incorporating treatment visits into their daily routine. If you’re unsure about what the best approach will be for you, you can talk to professionals in order to decide the best course of action

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

Some inpatient rehabs may cost around $6,000 for a 30-day program. More upscale centers, however, often cost up to $20,000 for a 30-day program. In cases of sixty or ninety-day programs, the total average costs could be anywhere between $12,000 and $60,000. Meanwhile, outpatient programs are cheaper than inpatient rehab. Many of them cost around $5,000 for a three-month program. Certain programs can even cost up to $10,000. The price will end up depending on how often the patient visits the center each week and for how long. However, it’s important to remember that, depending on your insurance plan, some of these costs might be covered for you.

Can I Use Medicare or Medicaid?

Well, depending on your insurance plan, some of these costs might be lower for you. While there are rehabilitation programs that take insurance plans, some don’t, so we recommend that you consult with each of the rehabilitation centers in our directory to find out whether or not they take your insurance. Most of them will have a tool for that at your convenience.
